Step Two: Creating your hosts file.
This part can be a little tricky, but it's definately worth the effort!
First of all, right click here, and click 'Save Target As.'
It's a text file. Save it to your c:\windows directory/folder.
It should save as hosts.txt
Now click on your Start button, then click on Run.
Type in explorer.exe and click on OK.
Navigate your way to the c:\windows directory/folder.
In here you will find the hosts.txt file.
Click on the file hosts.txt once only.
Wait about two seconds, then click on it again.
Now you should be able to rename it.
Rename hosts.txt to hosts
In other words, the hosts file cannot have a file extension.
It must be named hosts
It cannot be called hosts.txt or hosts.doc.
If Windows complains, tell it it's okay.
